Downtime

Apparently this site was offline yesterday, and possibly longer. The downtime was accidental, and caused by a routing issue on my home network. It's fixed (hopefully, he says just before clicking "Publish Post" in Blogger).

My apologies for any inconvenience.

Re-Launching the site

Welcome to the re-launched "Run, Moon!" blog!

I've gained weight since last I blogged here.

One of the reasons I think that I've gained weight is a lack of documenting what I've been doing. I don't write about my running, I don't celebrate my successes, I don't analyze my failures. The primary place I've done that in the past is publicly, here, on the internet. But I've allowed runmoonrun.com to fall into disuse since I've lost the use of Caleb's server and had to rely on my own expertise.

So the first step was to learn how to get one server, with one IP address, to serve multiple named domains. Turns out it's pretty easy. Just a matter of adding a couple entries to a text file and unchecking and checking a box in Mac OS X.

But that's the technicalities. This blog is about dieting and running, and what I've been doing and haven't been doing.

Things I intend to add to this site:
  1. Maps of my most common running routes.
  2. Keeping track of what I've been eating and any tips on reducing my calories
  3. Daily weight tracking.
  4. Blogging every single run.
  5. Creating and tracking running goals.
  6. Documenting any additional exercise I partake in.
  7. Links to other resources for runners or dieting.
  8. Possibly... possibly... a weekly picture of me by which to gauge my goals. Scary!

There's probably more, but that's all I can think of at the moment.

At any rate, welcome back to Run, Moon!
